NAHA Players at U18 World Championships

NAHA players headed to the Czech Republic right after Christmas as part of the USA U18 National Team. Their mission is to win the Gold Medal at the U18 World Championships for USA!! Paige Savage returns to try to win another Gold, while Kaliya Johnson and Annie Pankowski are at their first World Championships. They opened with an 8-0 win over Russia, led by Paige Savage’s goal and 2 assists. The second round robin game was against Sweden, USA winning 7-0, with Savage putting up 3 assists and Annie Pankowski 2 goals and an assist. Pankowski would receive Team USA’s Most Valuable Player award. The next game would be played in front of a packed house against host Czech Republic, where USA wrapped up round robin play with a 13-1 win, Savage with a goal and assist, Pankowski with 2 goals and 2 assists, and Kaliya Johnson contributing regularly and playing well on the blue line for USA. The semi game saw USA face off against Germany, crusing to a 7-1 win, Pankowski putting up 3 assist, and setting up the game they all had their sights on, the Gold Medal game against Canada!
